Wednesday Activity –
“Getting to Know You”
- Name
Race
- Round
1
- One
person says their name and then, going clockwise – each person says their name
until it gets back to the original person.
- You
should run this until they improve their time twice.
- Round
2
- One
person says the name of the person to their left, going clockwise – each person
should say the name of the person to their left until it gets back to the
original person.
- You
should run this until you get through the circle getting each name correct and
improve your time once.
- Round
3
- On
person says their name; the next person says the name of the person next to
them then their own name; going clockwise – the next person should say the
names of the two people to their left and then their own name, etc. The game finishes when the person who started
the game can name everyone in the circle.

- You
start by introducing yourself to someone (of a different grade level) and shake
their hand, once you shake hands, keep the hands clasped.
- You
now must each find another pair in which to introduce yourself and your partner
and shake hands with your free hand (must be a left-right handshake).
- Your
group of 4 should now introduce your entire group to another group of four, if
you identify all of the people correctly – join that group – and so on.
- The
end of the game should be where at least one member of each grade level should
be able to identify every name in the Advisory.
